Where did your Story come from/

Aaron. Lori, & Butch working with a translation helper
That story about creation sounds good, that must be what you
think. We have some stories too, it goes something like this…”
When we begin teaching the Word of God we want to avoid the above
scenario. Our “stories” are not just our stories, they are from
God.
The last two weeks, we and our partners have been at our mission
base doing a translation workshop. We brought with us two Patpatar
men when have been our translations helpers. We spent hours each
day in class to gain more insight into principals that we have
been taught. We were also able to have a hands-on experience with
our helpers and translation consultants to put into practice the
process of translation.
Our desire is that when we begin teaching the people about God and
His wonderful plan of salvation we will not just be telling
stories about creation, the flood, the tower of Babel, and Abraham
and Moses. But we will be able to show them these stories in God’s
Word written in their own language. We will be able to say to
them, “This is not just what we think. This is what God has said.”
For His Glory,
Aaron
Lori and the girls left this morning to return to the States for
the baby. Next week a team from Holly Spring Bible Church will be
coming to help run a conference here at the mission’s base and
then will be helping us in the tribe with some projects. To find
out more visit

the team to the States to rejoin my family.
