Surgery

Sierra's 3rd Birthday on January 18
In this update I wanted to pass on a prayer request
we received from our partners Butch and Tammy Kunzer and their four
girls. On a recommendation from the mission doctor they left the
tribe and went to Australia to get more tests done a week ago. Here
is the information that Tammy wrote to us:
"We saw the doctor today again and he said that I
have some precancerous cells growing again on my cervix (a problem
that we thought was taken care of less than a year ago) and with all
the abnormal stuff going on he has recommended that I get a
hysterectomy...tomorrow.
Please be praying. I am scheduled to have the
surgery at 3:30 p.m. I will check into the hospital at 11:00 a.m. It
looks like I could be in there for about five days.
Pray for Butch...he will be playing Mr. Mom in this
tiny living space"
The surgery will take place at 11:00pm central US
time today. Please pray for this surgery and Tammy's recovery. Pray
also for the family through this time.
On our side of the world we have been doing more
traveling. We recently had the opportunity to share about our
ministry in churches in Adrian, Missouri (Pastored by my friend from
childhood Ben Chapman) and Oakland, Nebraska. I also had the chance
to speak at a Youth Discipleship Workshop night about missions in
Kansas. Here is a portion of an email we received from that
night:
"Wonderful news from the DW last night...God was
definitely there with us! Pastor Rick had told us his sanctuary
would hold 125....we had 125 (90 were
teens!) Of those one was saved for the kingdom of
Christ PRAISE THE LORD! Another committed to missions!! Still 3
others wanted to get plugged into a church...and 4 others prayed for
various reasons. Many hands went up during the quiet time showing
their commitment to their peers, to missions, to their community, to
the Gospel. It was definitely a successful evening."
Thank you for your prayers,
Aaron (and the family)
