Celebrating a Birthday

"And it came to pass in those days, there went (shouts) out a decree! From Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed." Those are the words that have been coming from Avalon this Christmas season, and how exciting it is to us! To hear your children understanding the meaning of Christmas is incredible. We love God's word and to hear it from the mouth of children is extremely sweet!!

On the other side of the world, our partners, the Kunzers are experiencing Christmas as they are alone in the tribe. You can bet they are feeling very homesick, and somewhat discouraged as they've experienced things being stolen lately. Please pray that God gives them peace, comfort and joy this season, and that it's a wonderful Christmas for them.

This season has brought many new experiences to our family as we are spending the Christmas season in the USA. Avalon has been in two programs, and we are experiencing many family get-togethers, and the busyness of this holiday season.

Is it easy to get caught up in what needs to be done and become forgetful of what it's all about? I sure think so, but I've had so many awesome reminders of what it's all about. May we all realize the most awesome gift we could have ever received came the first Christmas.
