Bringing in the Harvest
Lori, Avalon, and Sierra in a combine
with Todd
In the North American Continent it is harvest time. In Iowa most
of the fields now stand empty as the combines have marched their way
through them. Harvest is a time to gather what has been planted, to
reap what has been sown, to see the fruit of labor. Lori and the
girls recently had the chance to take a ride on a combine to help
harvest corn. They have had a great time getting to do all kinds of
"firsts" here in America.
In many ways, this has been a harvest time for our family. We
have been on the road much of last month speaking in churches and at
mission's conferences. For years we have heard that people have been
praying for us and the Patpatar. Now we get to see faces again or
meet for the first time many who have had a part in our ministry. It
has been a good time of sharing, updating, and seeing the work God
has done so far on His field. In the last month we have spoke in
churches in Iowa, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Next we travel to Wisconsin
to speak at the New Tribes Bible Institute. Thank you for your
prayers as we travel and if we haven't got to see you yet, we look
forward to that soon!
In another part of the world there is a harvest going on as well.
Two villages in the islands region of Papua New Guinea are getting
the chance to hear the Gospel in their own language this week. Pray
for the people of Mengen and Yauyau. Pray for good weather, good
attendance, open hearts, and a clear message.
Patpatar Update: Butch and Tammy and their family just got back
into the tribe after a quick trip to the north end of the island.
Butch is continuing to plug away at language and culture and Tammy
has been working in her garden with some of the ladies from the
village as well as staying busy with home-schooling. An elderly
woman died in Pisangatgnat last week confirming once again the
urgency of getting the Gospel in their own language so there can be
a harvest among the Patpatar.
For His Glory,
Aaron, Lori, Avalon and Sierra Luse
