Back in America
Back in America
Where is the snow? That is one of the first questions Avalon
asked when we got off of the plane in America. Her perception of
America was not quite right even though we had tried hard to prepare
her. In many ways though, the rest of us are feeling similar. Some
things are not quite the way we expected when we got here.
Though we have faced some adjustments coming back to our home
country we have been overwhelmed with love from family and friends.
We spent the first week in the Kansas City area with Lori's family.
Now we are settling into our rental home in Sioux City, Iowa. Avalon
has started school and Sierra is getting used to being the only
child three days a week.
In the wake of the recent hurricane disaster, Lori and I have the
opportunity to go on a week long trip to Mississippi to help in
relief effort. We will leave on Monday, September 12. The kids get
to stay with their grandparents.
Unfortunately we still do not have internet access, but I was
able to check our email yesterday on another computer. When we get
back from Mississippi we will try to catch up on our correspondence.
Please continue to not only pray for us, but also our partners,
the Kunzers, in the Patpatar. Pray for their support level, language
learning, relationship building, their time alone in the tribe, and
their safety. Yesterday we heard news of an earthquake that measured
7.3 on the rictor scale that occurred on our island.
For His Glory,
Aaron
PS - We will be disconnecting our email and we may not have it
set up again until the end of August so you may not hear from us
right away.
