Over Half Way!!
Tamrau, Aaron, and Aaron Weatherl during the 2nd Evaluation
In the last "NGN" we mentioned that Aaron was going to be taking
his second language check (2 of 4). Thank you for your prayers! We
wanted to write now and let you know that the test-check-evaluation
is finished and it went well. Aaron Weatherl came from the Island's
Mission Base to spend two days giving various tasks to see where
Aaron was in his ability to understand and speak the Patpatar
language and how much of the culture he understood. Now Aaron will
begin stage 3 of his language and culture learning. It is exciting
to have passed the half way mark of preliminary study. We look
forward to the day when our comprehension and speaking level will be
enough to clearly express God's truths to the Patpatar people.
We will be traveling for the next few weeks. Next week we will be
at our Island's Mission Base for a mandatory conference. There we
will get needed updates about the PNG government, the mission, the
needs of our fellow missionaries, and other important information.
After that our family will take a vacation. We look forward to
getting back into civilization for a while to get refreshed and
energized for continuing work among the Patpatar.
We would like to announce that the updated version of our website
is now running. One of our State-side co-workers has helped us
revamp and improve our website. For more about our ministry,
information on New Tribes Mission, and the latest news about us
check out at
TribalMissions.com. We hope to continue putting new pictures and
other information on it, so be sure to visit it regularly.
All for Him,
Aaron, Lori, Avalon and Sierra
