The Local Church
Today God is working through the Body of Christ, the Church,
established by Jesus Christ as the Head. The body, consisting of all
believers, carries out the work Christ has commanded us to do. It is
the mission of the church to bring glory to God through worship and to
reach out to the world so that they may know Him and glorify Him as
well.
It is through the local church that we are sent out to the field. We
are not separate from the church but an extension of it, reaching to
the uttermost parts of the earth. Our home church,
Morningside Bible
Church in Sioux City, Iowa, has commissioned us and sent us out as
part of their fellowship. We work with them as partners in world
evangelism. There are several other churches as well as individuals
who also support our ministry through prayer and finances. Each
of these churches and individuals support missions and have been a
part of our lives in encouraging us as members of the Body of Christ.
We believe that we are a part of the body reaching out to touch the
lives of the unreached with the gospel of Christ, for the glory of God
and the edification of His church. New Tribes Missions is not the sending agent. New
tribes Mission is a tool for the
local church. They do not exist as competition with the church, but
rather exist to assist the church.
New
tribes Mission works through the church to
establish indigenous churches by specialized equipping and training of
men and women for the work of the Lord.

New Tribes Mission
We chose New Tribes Mission because of their thorough training program
in equipping tribal missionaries. New Tribes is a fundamental,
non-denominational, faith missionary society composed of born-again
believers who are dedicated to the evangelization of unreached tribal
peoples, the translation of Scripture into their own tongue, and the
planting of indigenous New Testament churches. New Tribes
Mission is dedicated to
using a team of individuals working together to reach the unreached
through the local church.
The Purpose statement of NTM
Motivated by the love of Christ
and empowered by the Holy Spirit, NTM exists to assist the ministry of
the local church through the mobilizing, equipping, and coordinating

truly glorify God.
